As my fork doesn't have a serial number I had to send the hole fork (without crowns) to the shop where i bought it. They replaced the casting on warranty. |

well maybe in your case it is stupid to blame sram, but in my case there was air inside the casting which is a production failure.. I didn't crash hard! Take a closer look at this http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/2352576/ I would check if you have such a failure too... even if you don't blame sram for that. If there is something like that, you should get one new casting for free! Thats all i wanted to say... |

yep, take a look at my album and you'll see where it broke. I uploaded this pictures because you can see quite good that there was some air in the casting. cleary a production failure. |

That is EXACTLY where my boxxer broke!! look at my photos! I got a new casting for free, but had to fight for it although. It is ridiculous to say it broke because of some slimmer decals and flexible tube. The decals might help if you fall on a rock, but they won't defend the casting from braking in that way! Here is my album http://ben-p.pinkbike.com/album/broken-Boxxer/ As you can see, there was some air in the casting... clearly not fault. Go, kick some asses and get you a new casting for free... it can not be, that sram reacts like this.. If they don't want to give you a new one, go to the next world cup race or bike event like crankworx and apear at the sram truck with the broken one in your hand when it's really crowded... i think that might help good luck! |
